Marshal Tian Peng because of a mistake made in Heaven Court, was sent to Earth and mistakenly reincarnated as a pig. Goddess Guanyin told him that there will be monk, Tang Sanzang who are going to the western regions to obtain Buddhist sacred texts and he will accept him as his disciple.  He was given the name Zhu Ba Jie and to wait at the Fulingshan cave for the monk.

Zhu Ba Jie waited a long time and decides to marry a wife to live on. He put up a wedding proposal at the cave but those that came think he is too ugly. Zhu Ba Jie transform himself into a handsome man and left the cave. While on the road, he encountered robbers robbing a rich man name Master Gao. He save Master Gao and Master Gao invited Zhu Ba Jie to his house for dinner. There he met the daughter of Master Gao and fell in love at first sight. Master Gao is willing to marry his daughter to him. On the wedding day, Zhu Ba Jie drink too much wine and lost his transformation which scared the guests. Just happened, Tang Sanzang and his disciple Sun Wukong was walking past the Gao’s mansion and subdue Zhu Ba Jie and bring peace to the Gao’s mansion.
